We collect information you provide when registering for programs, events, or communications, including: name, address, email address, and phone number; youth member information (with parent/guardian consent); volunteer and leader contact details; event registration and participation records; and payment and donation information. SMS / TEXT MESSAGING PROGRAM
By providing your mobile number and opting in, you consent to receive text messages from Hawkeye Area Council. Messages may include: event reminders, camp schedules, and program updates; council news, volunteer opportunities, and announcements; emergency or safety notifications; and fundraising and Friends of Scouting campaign information.
Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on your program participation and preferences. You may receive up to several messages per week during active program seasons.

HOW TO OPT OUT (STOP)
You may opt out of SMS communications at any time. To stop receiving text messages, reply STOP, CANCEL, END, QUIT, or UNSUBSCRIBE to any message. After opting out, you will receive a single confirmation message and no further SMS messages will be sent.

HOW WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. Mobile phone numbers used for SMS communications are stored securely and are not shared with third parties for their marketing use. Mobile opt-in data and consent records are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.
CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
We collect personal information about youth members only with the verifiable consent of a parent or guardian. Youth members under 13 are not directly targeted for SMS communications; messages are directed to registered parents and guardians.
