For over 100 years, the Order of the Arrow (OA) has recognized Scouts and Scouters who exemplify the Scout Oath and Law daily. The OA is Scouting’s National Honor Society. As an integral part of Scouting America, the OA delivers peer-led advanced leadership experiences that help to build lifelong bonds through service and enrich each member’s Scouting journey. OA members are defined by the fellowship they share, service to others, commitment to personal growth, and self-driven initiative to make a difference in their community. The Order of the Arrow (OA) is a recognized official program activity of Scouting America, intended to recognize those Scouts who best exemplify the Scout virtues of cheerful service, camping, and leadership.
The Cho-Gun-Mun-A-Nock Lodge, Lodge 467, came into existence in 1952 when the local councils merged. Our Lodge is a part of Section G8 and the Gateway Region.

Those members of the Cho-Gun-Mun-A-Nock Lodge who wish to take advantage of the Golden Tomahawk Program for 2024 will pay the following, depending on their membership level and 2025 Dues status.

Golden Tomahawk Members MUST STILL REGISTER FOR ALL EVENTS but will not have to pay as they register for events, so long as they register ON TIME.
Golden Tomahawk Members ARE STILL SUBJECT TO LATE FEES if not registered by the deadline for an event.
Please be considerate of the Lodge Members responsible for planning food for each of the events.
The purpose of the Late Fee is to encourage registrations in time to purchase enough food for the event.
The deadline will vary by event, but is generally by the Close of Business, Friday, two weeks before the event.

Monthly meetings of the Lodge Executive Committee for the Cho-Gun-Mun-A-Nock Lodge take place between 1:00pm – 200pm in the Brown Conference Center at the Scout Service Center during the months of October through May.
During the month of September, the LEC Meetings is held at Howard H. Cherry Scout Reservation immediately after Conclave.

The annual Lodge Leadership Development Conference (LLDC) is where we plan our upcoming year Lodge goals and set the budget. We encourage all the new members of the LEC to attend this meeting. The annual LLDC and LEC meetings are held on the 1st Saturday of December at Howard H. Cherry Scout Reservation (HHCSR).
Mid-year LLDC is held as needed to check in with annual LLDC goals and financial status.

Monthly meetings for the Southern Prairie District Chapter of the Cho-Gun-Mun-A-Nock Lodge are usually held between 7:00pm – 8:30pm on the 2nd Thursday of every month and is located at the First Christian Church, 900 Lincolnshire Dr., Coralville, IA 52241.

Monthly meetings for the Northern Lights District Chapter of the Cho-Gun-Mun-A-Nock Lodge are usually held between 6:30pm – 8:00pm on the 2nd Thursday of every month and is located at the FaithLife Church 8300 C Avenue Marion, IA 52302.

Spring Fellowship is a great opportunity to meet new friends in the Lodge and learn more about the Order of the Arrow.
Saturday includes training modules, such as Elangomat Training, as well as the Pow-Wow and Auction on Saturday Night. Sunday morning, after cleanup, we will hold the March LEC Meeting. This meeting is open to all OA Lodge members and is a great opportunity for youth who are new to the program to see how the youth run the Lodge on the Executive Committee level.

Spring Conclave is the last opportunity for Scouts and Scouters called out the previous summer to complete their Ordeal. Ordeal Candidates MUST attend Friday night of Spring Conclave in order to complete their Ordeal.
Spring Conclave is also an opportunity for Ordeal Members to complete their membership in the Lodge by completing their Brotherhood if they completed their Ordeal no later than the Fall Fellowship of the previous calendar year.

Fall Conclave is the first opportunity for Summer Camp Ordeal Candidates from the current calendar year to complete their Ordeal. Ordeal Candidates MUST attend Friday night of Fall Conclave in order to complete their Ordeal.
Fall Conclave is also an opportunity for Ordeal Members to complete their membership in the Lodge by completing their Brotherhood, if they completed their Ordeal no later than during the Fall Conclave of the previous calendar year.

Fall Fellowship is a fun event for new Ordeal members of the Lodge. If you completed your Ordeal at the April Ordeal Opportunity, the Spring Conclave in May or the Fall Conclave in September, you are invited to attend Fall Fellowship for FREE!
If you completed your Ordeal no later than the April Ordeal Opportunity, you are eligible for Brotherhood at this event.

Annual Winter Banquet for the Cho-Gun-Mun-A-Nock Lodge. Recognizing award recipients, new Ordeal Members, new Brotherhood Members, and new Vigil Honor Members of the Lodge.
The banquet is typically held on the first Friday of January between 5:00PM – 9:00PM.

Please mark your calendars for the 2025 Eastern Iowa Honor Flights.
Remember that parking is free for these evenings when you get a ticket from an EIHF volunteer. Please be at the airport no later than 8:00pm and plan to stay for 2 hours as greeting the returning veterans and their escorts takes quite a while. It is VERY rewarding to see and hear the appreciation for the Welcome Home. Lodge members will receive two hours credit of community service by checking in with Sarah Harris.
ALL Scouts (Cub, Scouts BSA, Crew, and Ship) are welcome, and encouraged, to come – the more, the merrier! Invite your friends and family.

The Annual Election of new Vigil members for the Cho-Gun-Mun-A-Nock Lodge is a meeting that is held between 1:00pm – 4:00pm on the first Sunday of June.
During this meeting, electors from each OA Chapter vote on nominees to be elevated to become Vigil Honor members in the OA Lodge. Voting rules and regulations for this meeting are provided below:
Candidates for election must have received their Brotherhood no later than the Spring Conclave of 2 calendar years prior to the Vigil Election date.
Each Chapter must supply 2 voting electors, who must be approved in advance by the Lodge Adviser.
Electors must be either a Vigil Honor member or not yet eligible for election.

The National Order of the Arrow Conference (NOAC) is the flagship national Order of the Arrow event. It is held every two years at a major university campus and is attended by as many as 8,000 Arrowmen from all 50 states. It is second only to the BSA National Jamboree in size and scope. Our largest conference was in 2015, attended by more than 15,000 Arrowmen to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Order of the Arrow.

Red Arrow Rally (RAR) is a section-wide event where we invite all of the members from the lodges to join us in fun training and fellowship. During our annual RAR, we have training opportunities available like torch crafting, and American Indian flute playing, to Learning about the histories of sports! We will also be showcasing what each hosting camp has to offer.
