What type of camping do you do? Summer camping, In Council, Winter camping, Backpacking, Canoeing, High Adventure (13 and older), Camporee, 3 high adventures per year

Are there any age or rank restrictions? Camping – no. High Adventures – yes, must be 1st Class.

Do they have a theme, merit badge, or rank requirement focus? Yes – all of the above!

Does the program change from year to year? We definitely have our favorite events but the other half of events change every year!


Advancement

Number of Eagle Scouts: 225 to date!

Troop Advancement Philosophy: If you’re not participating you’re not advancing, if you’re not advancing you’re not participating. 1st Class by 1st year. 37% of Scouts joining 766 earn Eagle!

Activities to help with advancement: Dedicated Advancement meetings once or twice a month! We had 21 different Merit Badge classes for 21 different Merit Badges in the first 6 months of the year!

Percentage advancement in the last 12 months: Consistently over 50% every year!


Uniform

Uniform requirements: Class A shirt, sash, slide, and neckerchief. 766 provides the slide and neckerchief when a Scout joins.

What does this include? $36 national recharter + $14 Troop dues

Fundraising opportunities: Popcorn sales – 100% of the profit goes right to their Scout Account (which is available online 24/7). The Troop retains 0% of the profit.
